Strategic Planning is the cornerstone of TLVG’s consulting services. The firm has 25 years experience in strategic planning and development for a broad array of businesses and non-profit organizations. TLVG understands that strategy is extremely important to the viability of any organization and approaches each case with urgency and a high level of commitment.
TLVG believes that strategy or strategic planning is about understanding your environment, developing appropriate plans to thrive in this environment and aligning resources to achieve the plan. It is also important that top leadership is aligned with the strategy.

TLVG works closely with the organization to understand the current situation and appetite for change. Based upon this information a proposed work plan is developed. There is always meaningful focus on the external environment assessment since this is the volatile terrain that we are trying to traverse. An equally honest assessment of internal capability is also conducted. To assist our analysis, TLVG employs a variety of strategic planning tools including, scenario planning, war-gaming, competitive role-playing, and others. TLVG works with smaller businesses to develop their business plans. Business plans are a very classic document to communicate your business direction and are an important requirement for financing. Our customized business planning process provides the core elements and includes:

TLVG will work with leadership to develop very clear and concise plans.
A 3-5 year plan is recommended for most organizations, and a longer plan can be developed if warranted. A long-range plan is especially important for organizations with insufficient reserves and slim profit margins. If the organization is in a stable environment the plan can be prepared through an extended budget development engagement. If the organization is in any state of transition, the long-range plan ought to be developed in the Strategic Plan Development product.
